Let me know what you think.
Wonder what we have been up to? Here you go, these are the updates to the four games we are currently working on.
Tile Crash, we received a very polite rejection letter from our interested publisher, but luckily it was in time for us to then submit Tile Crash to the Ion Award Competition in the Strategy category.
Paper Dragons is our entry in the Family category of the Ion Award Competition.
Goblins of Rainbow Gulch is currently in a transition from alpha stage to beta stage which includes mocking up real components for testing clarity issues.
Stranded, this is the re-theme of The Prize which has playtested very well. This may be a game that we use Kickstarter to publish, more to come on it.
Battlejack is in the hands of a playtest group in Seattle getting some rigorous testing done. We hope to have it finalized the first quarter of next year and this would also be a Kickstarter project.
There are some other games in the pipeline , but they aren’t far enough along to talk about, so stay tuned.
So the final version of Tile Crash has been sent to an interested publisher.
Some comments from him were:
The versatility of the tiles is much like a deck of cards, with so many unique tiles the ways to re-purpose them is unlimited.
The game play is quick to explain taking less than 5 minutes.
The game itself plays fast about 30 minutes, time to take a turn is quick, time between turns even with five players is fast, all of which are desirable.
The strategies are numerous and the rules of the game can be easily modified to make it a different feeling game.
From our perspective, we are extremely excited to have created this light abstract strategy game. We hope he decides to publish it. More news as we get it.
Here is a write up from Nathanuil DeMille that includes his thoughts on Tile Crash which he blind tested for me. Thanks! http://blankwallgames.tumblr.com/post/55929724560/protospiel-ann-arbor-1-3
I know it has been quiet, but I promise we have been working.
Our kickstarter is live with 30 days left to go.
Please check out our custom themed dice out or a multitude of different materials.
So what else have we been up to, well let me show you. We have been up to making custom dice out of all different sorts of medium
Here is a clear acrylic assembled dice. The neat feature is the image is etched on the inside of each face, then back-filled and then the dice is assembled. The benefit is the paint will not rub off because it is inside the dice.
Here is some solid wood dice.
Here is a clear acrylic cube with back-filled dice faces.
Here is a wooden dice that is assembled.
